SXSW 2026: 19 Movies to Look Out For

2026 SXSW took place in Austin, Texas, from March 12 to March 18. More than 180 movies were screened at the festival, and here's a list of feature films we think people should look out for. 

Obsession

Dead Deer High

Gloria (Ashley Park) and Nick (Taylor John Smith) go through a painful breakup. Gloria then spirals through Nick’s past dating history, untangling his web of ex-girlfriends until she discovers the reason for all their issues: Kaylinn (Leighton Meester), the hottest, most basic ex-girlfriend to ever exist, who not only just took Gloria’s boyfriend, but is about to take her entire story from her, too. Based on Devantez's award-winning 2020 short of the same name.

Thanks for Nothing

With social worker Ballack as a half-hearted guardian, things go well until their “live and let live” agreement starts to falter.

Mile End Kicks
